Introducing Vard Vung Tau, a shipyard belonging to the VARD Group (Norway), specializing in the design and construction of specialized offshore vessels such as oil and gas service vessels, survey vessels, and exploration cruise ships. The shipyard was established in 2006, began operations in 2008, and officially commenced operations in 2010 in Vung Tau City.
Project scale and characteristics
The shipyard, covering an area of approximately 154,900 m², is a self-contained shipbuilding complex, from hull fabrication to finishing and delivery. Its current capacity after expansion reaches approximately 7 ships per year, with an 8,000-ton floating dock system, a 620-meter-long wharf, and a workforce of over 1,000 people.
Scope of DATA Cons deployment
In 2023, the Vard shipyard underwent a complete renovation of its entire facility, from offices and shipbuilding yards to auxiliary structures. DATA Cons was the subcontractor responsible for the new warehouse and the office building concept design.
Requirements for industrial buildings
Industrial construction projects need to be organized in accordance with the production line, site layout, and operating conditions of the facility. Construction, structural, and mechanical and electrical components must be coordinated to control safety, quality, and minimize impact on production or operation.
