Introducing Sakai Chemical (Japan), a chemical corporation with over 100 years of experience, specializing in the production of inorganic materials, plastic additives, and industrial raw materials. Sakai Chemical Vietnam's factory was established in 2007 and is located in My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park, Binh Duong Province.
Project scale and characteristics
The factory, covering an area of approximately 50,000 m², has been in operation since 2009, specializing in the production of PVC plastic additives, Ca-Zn stabilizers, and hydrotalcite, with a capacity of thousands of tons per year.
Scope of DATA Cons deployment
The project was divided into two phases: Phase 1: Reinforcing the factory's frame and roof and preparing safety measures. Phase 2: A 2 MWp solar system designed and installed by DATA Cons. The solar system was installed on the roofs of factory buildings 1 and 2. The system was commissioned and put into operation in October 2024, helping the factory save tens of millions of VND per month on electricity costs.
Requirements for solar energy systems
A rooftop solar power system requires simultaneous consideration of the roof's condition, load capacity, equipment layout, electrical safety, fire safety, and grid connection feasibility. Coordination between design, material supply, and construction helps minimize conflicts with the building's existing operations.
